Multiplication by 11 in Vedic Mathematics

Formula:

ab * 11 = a(a+b)b

if a+b>10 then (a+1)(n)b

Example:

24 * 11 = 2(2+4)4 = 264

37 * 11= 3(3+7)7=3(10)7=407

Explanation:

For multiplying the number by 11 just add the digits of the number and put it in the middle of the digits of original number. if the addition of digits exceeds ten add 1 to the first digit and take only the value at tense place.
